A parody of BeReal for CS majors -- Hack@Brown 2023 Wolfram Award
gitReal is a parody of BeReal with the target audience being primarily CS majors and other heavy users of the computer. We supported uploading desktop screenshots and webcam pictures, as well as liking posts.
This project was built for Hack@Brown 2023, where we won the Wolfram award. I took part in this hackathon with Edward, Ryan, and Siddharta from Brown. Here are the relevant links:
I was primarily involved in writing the backend functionality for “persistent” storage of images and full-stack functionality for likes. We used Python and FastAPI as our language and framework of choice, along with Poetry for package management.
